2019 Kia Cadenza
Even amidst the current crossover boom, full-sized sedans have been holding their own. For the 2019 model year, the 2019 Kia has breathed new life into this segment by making sure that the latest version of the Cadenza delivers exceptional comfort and the latest technology features. This roomy, front-wheel drive four-door comes in three trim levels – Premium, Technology, and Limited – all of which are powered by a 3.3-liter 290 horsepower V6 mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Comfort and Convenience
Above all else, full-sized sedans prioritize comfort and convenience: this is the car you always wanted to have when you grew up. High-quality features are expected in this segment, and the ’19 Cadenza delivers in spades. Even on the base-level Premium trim, you’ll get standard heated power-folding mirrors with puddle lamps, a hands-free trunk opening feature, keyless entry and ignition, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, and eight-way power-adjustable and heated front seats with seat two-way lumbar support for the driver. The Technology trim adds a standard panoramic sunroof, LED cabin lighting, and a heated steering wheel.
Choose the Limited trim to reach the peak of luxury, with all of the features from the previous trims plus de-icing automatic wipers, a power-operated trunk lid, a power-adjustable steering wheel with paddle shifters, upgraded leather upholstery, a 10-way driver’s seat with four-way lumbar adjustment, two-way lumbar adjustment for the passenger seat, driver-seat memory functions, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a power rear sunshade.
The active safety features that come standard on the lowest trim include a rearview camera system, rear parking sensors, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert. The Technology trim adds LED headlights and fog lights for increased visibility, automatic high-beam control, adaptive cruise control, a lane keeping assist system, and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. The top-tier Limited trim adds automatic wipers, a 360-degree parking camera, and lane departure warning.
The Premium trim is well equipped with the tech features that everyone’s looking for these days: a 7-inch touchscreen interface, Bluetooth hands-free, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, two USB ports, and an eight-speaker audio system with satellite radio. As its name would lead you to expect, the Technology trim adds even more: a wireless charging pad, a premium 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and an 8-inch touchscreen interface with integrated navigation and HD radio. Going big with the Limited will gain you a heads-up display and a driver information screen.
