New Kia 2020 Kia Sorento for Sale in West Springfield, MA
The Kia Sorento is the Korean automaker’s midsized SUV, slotting between the Sportage crossover and the full-sized Telluride. The 2020 version of the Sorento has been slightly refreshed from last year’s model with new bumpers and exterior lighting, and the EX Sport and SX Limited trim levels have been given the axe. Other than that, the sporty style from its 2016 redesign lives on, plus it’s nicely sized, has plenty of desirable features, and boasts a generous, industry-leading 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. It even has some genuine off-road chops for those looking for a little excitement in their lives.
Trims and Powertrains
The five trim levels of the ’20 Sorento – L, LX, S V6, EX, and SX – are split between two distinct powertrains. The first two get a 2.4-liter inline-four engine (185 horsepower and 178 pounds-feet of torque) with a six-speed automatic transmission; these trims are strictly front-wheel drive. The other three receive a 3.3-liter V6 (290 hp and 290 lb.-ft. of torque) joined to an eight-speed automatic and are available in FWD or all-wheel drive.
Comfort and Convenience
The base L’s list of standard equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, a rearview camera, 40/20/40 split-folding second-row seats, 50/50 split-folding third-row seats, remote keyless entry, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. The LX adds a sound-absorbing windshield, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, a fuel-efficiency indicator, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter knob. The S V6 comes with blacked-out 19-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, and push-button ignition. With the EX, a sunroof, fog lights, a rear wiper/washer, a Smart Power Liftgate, and leather seating all come standard. The range-topping SX is rightfully loaded with power-folding outside mirrors, a liftgate height adjustment feature, a power-adjustable passenger seat, memory functions for the driver’s seat, and a steering wheel wrapped in perforated leather.
Safety & Technology
All trims but the L come with the Kia Drive Wise bundle of driver-assist technologies, with more features going to the higher trims. The LX gets blind-spot collision warning, forward collision avoidance, and rear-cross traffic collision warning, and the S V6 adds blind-spot collision avoidance-assist and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance. The EX receives the ultimate version of this active safety suite, with a driver attention warning monitor, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and smart cruise control.
The first four trims of the 2020 Sorento are outfitted with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth capability, steering wheel-mounted controls (for audio, phone, and cruise control), a 12-volt power outlet, a USB/auxiliary input jack, and a six-speaker audio system. The SX upgrades to a 10-speaker premium Harman Kardon system and an 8-inch touchscreen, plus integrated navigation, satellite and HD radio, and a wireless phone charger.
