2022 Kia Telluride for Sale in West Springfield, MA
When the Kia Telluride made its highly anticipated debut in 2020, it took the midsized crossover class into all-new terrain. The Telluride distinguished itself from the pack with its looks – rugged but still sophisticated – and abundant standard features. Time and again it has been praised for its unique attributes, with some prestigious awards and distinctions. Believe it or not, there are some improvements to the 2022 version of this winner of a vehicle. Some are simply aesthetic: the brand-new Kia badge and restyled radiator grille, for instance. But the more important improvement is in the added standard equipment. The LX and S trims now get highway driving assist and navigation-based adaptive cruise control, and all trims now come with dual-zone automatic climate control, an infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, and integrated navigation.
Trims and Powertrain
Kia makes the ’22 Telluride in four trims: LX, S, EX, and SX. Most can seat up to eight passengers, but seating capacity will be dropped to seven with the available second-row captain’s chairs. The partners in the powertrain are a 3.8-liter V6 engine (291 hp and 262 lb.-ft. of torque) and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional. EPA estimates indicate that Tellurides with FWD return 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, and those with AWD get 19 city/24 highway. This is a practical vehicle for many reasons, one of which is its ability to tow up to 5,000 pounds.
Equipment By Trim
The LX comes with a full slate of notable features. These include 18-inch wheels, heated side mirrors with turn-signal indicators, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear-seat automatic climate control, simulated leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, keyless entry and ignition, remote start, a USB media port, five USB charging ports, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, 60/40 split-folding second-row seats, 60/40 split-folding third-row seats, and a dual-level cargo floor. The S gains 20-inch wheels, a moonroof, roof rails, dual exhaust ports, chrome exterior trim, a silver front and rear skid plate, second-row captain’s chairs (which will reduce seating to seven), a wireless smartphone charger, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped shift knob. Even the mandatory rearview camera is upgraded with dynamic parking guidance.
The EX returns the second-row bench seat and 18-inch wheels, but it adds power-folding side mirrors, a hands-free liftgate, leather upholstery, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, ventilated front seats, second-row window sunshades, six USB charging ports, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a second-row armrest with cupholders, and woodgrain interior accents. A heated steering wheel is standard with AWD. The EX Premium Package returns the 20-inch wheels and captain’s chairs and bundles LED headlights.
The top-of-the-line SX has all of the above plus fog lights, two moonroofs, a 7-inch instrument cluster, memory functions for the driver’s seat, reverse tilt-down side mirrors, stainless-steel pedals and doorsill trim, and ambient interior lighting. The optional SX Prestige Package issues Nappa leather upholstery, a head-up display, rain-sensing wipers, heated and ventilated second-row seats, and a 110-volt power outlet. There’s also a Towing Package available for the EX and SX that includes a self-leveling rear suspension, as well as an optional Nightfall Package for the same trims that provides gloss black exterior trim and roof rails, black-painted 20-inch wheels, a black grille, and black headlight and fog light bezels.
