2023 Kia Carnival MPV for Sale in West Springfield, MA
Trims, Powertrain, and Performance
The front-wheel-drive 2023 Carnival MPV is made in LX, EX, SX, and SX Prestige trim levels. Their 3.5-liter V6 produces 290 hp and 262 lb.-ft. of torque and is linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. According to the EPA, all trims achieve an estimated 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The maximum towing capacity across the board is 3,500 pounds.
The seven-passenger LX may be an entry-level trim, but it’s given the likes of heated side mirrors with turn-signal indicators, power-sliding rear doors, rear privacy glass, LED headlights and daytime running lights, and Smart Key with push-button ignition and remote start. Some of the more noteworthy cabin features are a 4.2-inch instrumentation display, a front console USB data port, six USB charging ports (two per row), two 12-volt power outlets (one in the floor console and the other in the cargo area), front seatback pockets, illuminated vanity mirrors, sliding and removable second-row seats, and 60/40-split third-row seats that can sink into the floor to help make room for more cargo. The optional Seat Package will increase passenger capacity to eight with its slide-flex second-row seats (where the middle seat can slide forward or fold into a table); it also supplies synthetic-leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.
The EX comes with the contents of the LX Seat Package in addition to a power tailgate, a Wi-Fi hotspot, an in-cabin camera system and intercom, a wireless phone charger, tri-zone automatic climate control, and manual second- and third-row sunshades. The sporty SX changes its look with front and rear skid plates, roof rails, power-folding side mirrors, LED fog lights, aero windshield wipers, and gloss-black wheels. It also receives a 12.3-inch instrument display, two 115-volt power outlets (one in floor console and one in cargo area), and ventilated front seats with passenger power adjustments and driver position memory. The top-end SX Prestige adds dual sunroofs, LED projector headlights, LED taillights, LED interior lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, genuine leather upholstery, and a heated steering wheel. Both the SX and SX Prestige are eligible for a dual-screen rear entertainment system and two additional second-row USB charging outlets. The SX Prestige can also be ordered with heated and ventilated second-row lounge seats with power footrests, which drop seating back to seven.
Active Safety Technologies
All trims have the Kia Drive Wise suite of advanced safety technologies. In the LX, it consists of forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, lane following assist, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, driver attention warning, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, rear parking sensors, safe exit assist, and rear occupant alert. The EX gets some additional Drive Wise features: an advanced forward collision-avoidance system with cyclist and junction turning detection, adaptive cruise control, highway driving assist, and front parking sensors. The SX and SX Prestige both add a blind-spot view monitor, reverse automatic braking, and a surround-view camera system.
The base infotainment system in the ’23 Carnival MPV has an 8-inch touchscreen with voice recognition, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, voice recognition, and a six-speaker audio system. The EX and SX are upgraded with a 12.3-inch touchscreen with navigation, HD radio, SiriusXM satellite radio, rear-seat voice recognition, and an eight-speaker sound system, while the SX Prestige welcomes a premium 12-speaker Bose unit.
