LX

The equipment in the base LX has highlights such as remote keyless entry, a digital gauge cluster, power side mirrors, and automatic headlights. It also gets rear privacy glass, 16-inch wheels, a front-console USB data port, a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, an overhead console sunglasses holder, and a 60/40-split folding rear seatback. Kia Drive Wise is also standard, equipping the LX with forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keeping assist, driver attention warning, intelligent speed limit assist, and rear occupant alert. Blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, and lane change assist are available. For infotainment, the LX receives a well-rounded system with an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker sound system.

S

The most compelling upgrades in the S are remote start, advanced keyless entry with proximity access (Smart Key), push-button ignition, wireless phone charging, and dual-zone automatic climate control. It also boasts a pair of front-row USB charging ports, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a swankier infotainment setup with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, navigation, and SiriusXM satellite radio. What’s more, its Drive Wise suite is enhanced with blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, and lane change assist.

If you’re looking to make a sporty impression, the GT-Line is the way to go. This most confident-looking Soul gains black exterior accents, exclusive GT-Line styling elements, a sunroof, 18-inch wheels, illuminated vanity mirrors, synthetic-leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel and shift knob, and a folding rear center armrest with cupholders. Kia offers these options: full LED exterior lighting, fog lights, heated front seats, an electronic parking brake, a 10-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with ambient speaker lighting, a cargo cover and dual-level cargo floor, adaptive cruise control, highway driving assist, and improved forward collision-avoidance assist with junction turning detection.

While the EX is mostly based on the S, it also gets some of the GT-Line’s desirable amenities (heated front seats, the sunroof, illuminated vanity mirrors, the cargo cover and dual-level cargo floor, and the leather-wrapped steering wheel/shift knob). This range-topping trim also receives heated side mirrors, 17-inch wheels, a 12V cargo-area power outlet, and premium cloth seat trim.
