Trims, Powertrain, and Fuel Economy

The 2025 Kia K4 is made in five trim levels: LX, LXS, EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Turbo. The first four get the base powertrain, a 147-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT (Kia’s Intelligent Variable Transmission) and a front-wheel drivetrain. The zestier GT-Line Turbo is upgraded with a turbocharged 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

According to the EPA, the base LX returns an estimated 30 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway, while the LXS, EX, and GT-Line achieve 29 mpg city/39 mpg highway. With its more robust engine, the GT-Line Turbo is rated for 26 city/36 highway.
