Trims, Powertrain, and Performance

The 2025 Niro Hybrid comes in a selection of five trim levels: LX, EX, EX Touring, SX, and SX Touring. The powertrain is made up of a 1.6-liter gasoline engine, a single electric motor, and a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission; the total output is 139 horsepower. According to the EPA’s official estimations, the LX, EX, and SX achieve 53 mpg in city driving and 54 mpg on the highway, while the EX Touring and SX Touring are rated at 53 mpg city/45 mpg highway.

Trim-Specific Features

The entry-level LX is handsomely appointed with cloth upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, manually adjustable front seats, a 60/40-split folding rear seatback, five USB ports (four Type-A and one Type-C), remote keyless entry, heated side mirrors, a heated windshield, automatic headlights, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Those who choose the EX will get remote start, upholstery in a combination of cloth and leatherette, wireless phone charging, leatherette wrapping for the shifter knob and steering wheel, heated power-adjustable front seats, ambient interior lighting, rain-sensing windshield wipers, proximity keyless entry, push-button start, a dual-level cargo floor, roof rails, and turn-signal indicators on the side mirrors.

The EX Touring ups the ante with a sunroof, perforated leatherette upholstery, ventilated front seats, driver’s seat memory, a heated steering wheel, power-folding side mirrors, alloy sport pedals, LED fog lights, a front-bumper skid plate, gloss-black exterior accents, and 18-inch wheels. The SX removes the sport pedals and larger wheels but brings in Digital Key, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a power liftgate. In the meantime, the SX Touring gets the sport pedals and 18-inch wheels along with projector-type LED headlights for the ultimate visibility.

Advanced Safety Equipment

Every 2025 Niro Hybrid includes the Kia Drive Wise assembly of advanced safety technologies. The LX comes with forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian and car detection, blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, speed limit assist, driver attention warning, rear occupant alert, and safe exit warning. The higher trims get a more advanced version of the suite, adding cyclist and junction-turning detection to the forward collision system, as well as rear parking sensors, navigation-based Smart (adaptive) Cruise Control, and Highway Driving Assist. Front parking sensors top off all of the above for the SX and SX Touring.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The standard infotainment system in the Niro Hybrid consists of an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a six-speaker audio setup, Kia Connect, and Bluetooth connectivity. The EX and higher trims upgrade to a 10.25-inch touchscreen with integrated navigation, voice recognition, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The SX and SX Touring enhance the audio quality with an eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. The Kia Access App comes standard, allowing the driver to remotely heat or cool the vehicle ahead of time.
