The 2024 Sorento Hybrid is a six-passenger midsized crossover that Kia presents in trim packages called EX and SX Prestige. Its hybrid system combines a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor, which together produce 227 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission completes the powertrain. While front-wheel drive is standard on the EX, the SX Prestige comes with traction-enhancing all-wheel drive, which optional for the EX. According to the EPA’s official fuel economy estimations, the front-wheel-drive Sorento Hybrid achieves an estimated 36 mpg in both city and highway driving, while the all-wheel-drive version returns 34 mpg in both conditions.
