2021 Kia Sportage for Sale in West Springfield, MA
The 2021 Kia Sportage is a feature-laden and stylish compact crossover that’s every bit as upscale as it is practical. While the competition in this segment is fierce, the 2021 Kia Sportage remains a hot commodity in more ways than one. The latest iteration returns with two new optional bundles for its S trim, the Nightfall Edition and Nightfall Edition Premium packages, which supply a slate of blacked-out features and premium technologies. As an aesthetic change, the 2021 Kia Sportage gets new badging across the rear liftgate.
The 2021 Kia Sportage is offered in four well-equipped trim levels: the LX, S, EX, and SX Turbo. The standard features on the LX include 17-inch wheels, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, a rearview camera system, rear privacy glass, selectable drive modes, an infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free and audio streaming, a six-speaker audio system, and a USB data port. Heated side mirrors with turn-signal indicators and fog lights are optional. The S adds those options, on top of 18-inch dark-gray wheels, roof rails, simulated-leather seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The EX yields a hands-free liftgate, keyless entry and ignition, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic temperature control. The optional EX Technology Package will add a panoramic sunroof, a wireless device charger, LED interior lighting, leather seats, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a premium eight-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, satellite radio, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Many of those features are also offered on the S depending through its two Nightfall Edition Packages. The SX Turbo furnishes those optional items as standard and continues loading the list with 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, a sport-tuned suspension, larger front brakes, and a heated flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters.
Powertrain and Fuel Economy
The first three 2021 Kia Sportage trim levels are outfitted with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 181 hp, while the SX Turbo benefits from a punchier turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that whisks out 240 hp. They all come with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drivetrain, although all-wheel drive is optional. Based on EPA estimates, the 2.4-liter engine models with FWD achieve 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway, while the ones with AWD return 21 city/25 highway. The FWD SX Turbo gets 20 city/28 highway. With AWD, it changes to 19 city/24 highway.
The Kia Drive Wise Driver Assist Technology suite is provided for all trim levels, adding features to higher trim levels. The LX begins with forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, and a driver attention warning monitor. The S adds blind-spot collision warning with rear cross-traffic alert, which is available for the LX. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go is optional on the S and EX, and the EX is also eligible for front and rear parking sensors. Both of those are standard on the SX Turbo.
