Trims, Powertrain, and Fuel Economy

Kia’s innovative 2023 Sorento Hybrid is offered in a simple two-trim lineup of the EX and SX Prestige. Their turbocharged 1.6-liter full parallel hybrid engine produces 227 hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. It pairs up with a six-speed automatic transmission. Buyers of the EX can get either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, but the SX Prestige is only made with AWD. According to the EPA’s official fuel economy estimates, the FWD versions achieve a commendable 39 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway, while the AWD ones fulfill 36 city/33 highway. The maximum towing capacity for both trims is 2,000 pounds.
